Account Deletion

Delete your PodZiply account

You can permanently delete your PodZiply account and the personal data we hold about you directly from inside the app. The email fallback below is for users who can’t reach the app (lost device, account locked out).

From inside the app

  1. Open PodZiply on your iPhone or Android device.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Scroll to Danger zone and tap Delete account.
  4. Confirm the prompt. PodZiply immediately removes your account record, all forwarded newsletter content, generated transcripts, and audio briefings, then signs you out. There is no email round-trip and no waiting period — the data is gone.

By email (fallback)

If you can’t access the app, send a deletion request to [email protected] from the address tied to your account, with the subject “Delete my PodZiply account.” No further details are required. We use the sending email address to verify your request and complete the deletion within 30 days.

What gets deleted

  • Your account record (email address, sign-in method, preferences).
  • All forwarded newsletter content stored on your behalf.
  • Generated transcripts and audio briefings.
  • Active sessions and device tokens used for sign-in and notifications.
  • Subscription event history tied to your user identifier.

What we retain

We retain a limited set of records when required to comply with legal obligations or to resolve disputes:

  • Billing and tax records relating to paid subscriptions, kept for up to 7 years as required by US tax law. These records do not include payment-card details, which are held only by Apple, Google, or Stripe.
  • Server and security logs for up to 90 days. After that window logs are aggregated and no longer tied to your account.

Cancel a paid subscription first

If you subscribe through the App Store or Google Play, cancel the subscription with Apple or Google before requesting account deletion. We cannot cancel store-managed subscriptions on your behalf. Deleting your account does not refund prior charges.
